Likes: location. Sake. The Simple sushi. Snooty judgements because I'm a snoothole: not a huge fan of putting panko on everything. Other than that it's pretty cool. They tried pretty hard to make it a modern bar which is ok I suppose. Personally I kind of prefer the low key sushi bars, but I'm glad they're in the neighborhood and I hope they have plenty of success!

I don't see what all the HYPE is about!! I went there for my 1st time yesterday in which I was not satisfied or pleased by the selection of sushi rolls they carry. I've had way better selection of rolls, freshness, & better presentation. The food was not freshest of the fresh to me, I order the Spicy Cowboy & Thunder Roll... I usually don't go to that restaurant but decided to try it due to some of the reviews I had seen here. The food here, just didn't meet my taste and it actually tasted bland to me. Won't be back here again. Overall the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, & helpful the only reason why they get a 1 star from me is because of that. However, the setup & decor inside is not bad at all. Thumbs up on that alone!!!

Staff is very friendly and helpful! Can't brag enough on them! They are great! Sushi was great. My daughter and I had sushi, husband had a noodle meal. They are a little higher priced than some sushi places but it was good! We didn't do the hibachi so can't say anything there. But the monster sushi was cool!

Found our new favorite place!! So good we've gone twice in one week!! Sushi looks good but haven't tried it. Hibachi is awesome. Was even better our 2nd time!! Check it out!

We did not like the Yum Yum sauce, the filet had an odd flavor, the chicken was cooked just right, the veggies were under done, but after adding fresh garlic to the rice is was delicious. No ice cream or sherbet served at the end of the meal was disappointing. Wait staff was a little slow.

There was four seating options one at a table, hibachi grill, the bar or the sushi bar. We ordered the lunch special which was served with soup salad and rice. It was Blockbuster that turned into a Japanese restaurant. Overall nice experience and will go back.

Great stuff. Last time I went here I got steak and chicken. Came with miso soup as is the norm for these types of places - all tasted good. Friendly staff. Good food. Smaller building, with a nice casual atmosphere.

Awesome food, good price, rolls are a great size. You come in twice and they know you by name and know what you like. Awesome so sad I will not be living down the street from here anymore.

Great food and service for the right price. The sushi was great, I recommend the earthquake, crazy Cajun and spider roll. Lots of rolls cooked or raw to choose from. We also had the chicken teriyaki and it was done very well. The teriyaki was well balanced and not overly sweet like some places. My wife and I will definitely go back. SAII had better watch out.

This place was pretty good, I'm from out of state I sat at the sushi bar the give you a complementary sushi salad, as far as all the five star ratings go I don't know about all that, I had a spicy tuna toll, Snyder roll and a house salad the dressing on the salad was great. And the sushi was good as well. Seems like a pretty nice place all in all

Although the kid in me is sad to see Blockbuster go, my boyfriend and I were pretty excited about this sushi/hibachi restaurant opening up just down the street from us. It is smaller than I expected (only half the Blockbuster space), but we were very impressed! We sat at the sushi bar, ordered edamame and four sushi rolls and we were in and out within 30 minutes. We had the dream roll, earthquake roll, spicy cowboy roll and and the amazing tuna roll. My favorites were the spicy cowboy and the earthquake, but they were all good and the presentation was great! Service was quick, and I always love sitting at the sushi bar to watch the chefs create the rolls! We saw him make what was called an OKC Roll that looked amazing but so big, I don't know how anyone could eat it! We'll have to come back and try it sometime, along with the hibachi. We will definitely be back!

Why do I have the feeling my entree would have been slightly better if it had been prepared at the actual hibachi table as opposed to in the back of the kitchen? I dunno what it is. But it seems like at any point when a hibachi meal is prepared in the kitchen rather than right in front of you, it comes out different. And by "different" I mean saturated in soy sauce. I've already mentioned in an earlier review on Samurai in Lawton how this type of over seasoning via soy sauce is over compensation at its finest. I mean...enough already! How difficult is it to find a half way decent hibachi restaurant? I may have been spoiled a little at Miyabi's Steakhouse in North Carolina. Anyways, you all are probably wondering what I ordered. Seafood lover's plate (of course), the shrimp, lobster and scallops were cooked decent enough...if you ignore the fact that they were drenched in soy sauce. Doesn't help there was no white sauce to be seen either. I love how they leave the lobster meat tucked inside the shell. Ya know...just in case you weren't sure if it was real lobster meat or not. Please! One positive note I'd like to point out: the fried rice wasn't half bad actually. I like that they use big pieces of egg inside. I don't care for the peas though. Actually, that's probably the first time I've ever seen peas cooked with fried rice. Whatever. It wouldn't have been enough to save the meal anyway. To be fair, this place was quite dead as it was a late afternoon/early evening on a Sunday. One other big party came in after me and sat at one of the hibachi tables. I was curious as to how the food would have came out if it was prepared live. Oh, I almost forgot to mention how good their onion soup was. Very well seasoned actually. Only problem is...I burnt half my taste buds upon taking my first sip. I dunno...apparently we're boiling the onion soup here at Sake House now. What a shame!

I have been here twice now, once for lunch and once for dinner, and haven't been overly impressed. When you walk in, it smells slightly like a sewer, but if you can get past that the food and service are good. When I came for dinner I ordered two special sushi rolls. They were pretty large (one is probably plenty for one person) and the presentation was nice. For lunch I sat at the hibachi table and has chicken hibachi with fried rice. The clear broth soup and salad with ginger dressing were pretty standard, nothing special. The chef put on a good show for me and my co workers, and the food was good. Again, nothing above average. Overall the prices were reasonable, and the service was pretty good. I will probably come here again for lunch since it's close to my office, and relatively quick and decently priced. However, there are better places in OKC for sushi and hibachi.

Okay food. Some of sushi I've had did not stay together and broke up in the soy sauce. Prices a tad high on some things. Service could be better. Clean place but every time I've been there (5x) we are almost the only ones. What does that say about a restaurant? I've never seen anyone at the hibachi grill. Will go to a real sushi restaurant next time.

My new favorite! I just moved to Oklahoma and didn't know if I would find any good Sushi, BUT, to my surprise I found this little gem and I will definitely be coming back! Very modern and clean. Great Miso soup, salad, and rolls!

It's too cold to drive any great distance for dinner, so decided to give Sake House a whirl. They have the restaurant separated into 2 sections: one section with a couple of hibachi tables and the other for "regular" dining. We sat in the regular section in a booth. I have to mention that their booth setups are odd/uncomfortable - The booths themselves are way too low for the table and the table sits too far away to be comfortable. The food itself is sub-par to average. The menu is filled with the usual suspects - For the vegetarians, note: your sushi choices are the usual, disappointing asparagus, avocado, cucumber, etc. - Nothing fancy for the herbivores here. I went ahead and ordered an asparagus roll and the teriyaki vegetarian entree (comes with: teriyaki veggies (onions, mushrooms, zucchini, green peppers and a few broccoli florets), white rice, salad, and clear soup) for $10. Hubby ordered the hibachi chicken and filet mignon entree (comes with the meats, fried rice, salad, and clear soup) for $25(?). My asparagus roll is what you would expect - Hard to disappoint or wow on that type of roll. The salads were made from what looked like salad mix bags and were over-dressed and too watery. The clear broth soup on the other hand was yummy and satisfying. My veggie entree was okay - Not great, not bad, just meh. Hubby rated his meats entree to the same. The service was (hate to sound like a broken record) also just okay. I do want to mention that the tables had this little (looked like an AM/FM radio) plastic thingy with an antenna and 3 buttons: BILL, SERVICE, and (something else, I forget- maybe REFILL?) - Well, you might be thinking that when you push one of the buttons, the waitstaff is notified in the kitchen or discreetly by a wearable pager-like device, but no. Don't push the button. (wasn't that a movie?). There was a couple with a little girl sitting in the booth behind us and she apparently couldn't resist the allure of something to push - Next thing you know there's an obnoxious, loud BEEP, BEEP, BEEP ringing out. So take my advice and avoid the embarrassment - If you need a drink refill, just go old-school and wave or lock-eyes and do the slight head nod at your waiter. So yeah - The place isn't great, it's not horrible, but knowing how I'm a sucker for convenience, I can say it's likely I'll be back.

Simply put... this place is AWESOME! One thing I have noticed with Japanese restaurants is they will have plenty of sushi... but it is hard to find those other things that make a Japanese restaurant special, and this place has it all! They have things such as Yakisoba (a noddle dish that you can get with a choice of shrimp, chicken, beef, etc) * Udon soups They of course has sushi & there is sushi bar as well to sit down, want your hibachi grill for entertaining friends, family, gatherings??? This place gots you covered as well there! The decor of the restaurant is beautiful as well, with little knick knacks on the inside & quite little Japanese writing on the outside of the door with unique characteristics Of course with a name like Sake House you have to be wondering, is there sake & how much? Well the answer to that is yes and lots! :) They have many sake choices for you to choose from & they vary in price depending how far you wanna go :) Quality of the food is excellent and I have been back many times & will continue to eat here! I am glad Sake House is here because they are a breathe of fresh air in a city filled with mediocre sushi only "Japanese" restaurants!

YES! Everything was so good! And we had a lot to choose from! Six of us ordered a variety of things to share starting with the edamame and goyozas to start. Both were just right! We liked the goose basket that the edamame came in! Very clever! Everyone had either a house salad or miso soup. The dressing was not your usual carrot ginger dressing and boy was it yummy! Then there were 11, yes 11 different rolls and one main entre. Everything was fresh, came out together and we cleaned our plates! If you are going to be sharing a lot of rolls like we did, I would suggest asking them to put them on one or two platers to conserve table space. The atmosphere is clean and casual. Nikki, our server was really wonderful. Just the right amount of checking in and our water glasses were always full! I'm so glad we found our new go to sushi place! I know we'll try the hibachi table too!

Been here twice in 2 weeks. First visit I ordered the hibachi dinner with salmon. I was utterly surprised because the portion was huge, in other places you only get one but here I got two. It tasted really good too. I had the OKC roll on our second visit. OMG! It was so delicious. I will get that again next time. The staff were nice and friendly, the place was clean and quiet. Will definitely come back.

Excellent food and wonderful service. Loved that the dish was served on a hot plate so it stayed warmed the whole meal. And it's great to be able to choose from either hibachi or table dinning. Most of all the service is very attentive and was very patient and kind even with our 3 young kids with us. We will definitely be back.

My family and I came here for the hibachi and loved it! Staff is super friendly and the food was delicious! They have great sushi and the presentation is beautiful. It's awesome having something like this in northwest OKC, definitely recommend!

Food is delicious all around. Sushi is fresh and melts in your mouth. I tried the Udon, but the soup lacks flavoring. Staff is real friendly and they sit you quickly.
